Firelord is a Marvel Comics character, first appearing in *Thor* #225 (July 1974).
Born Pyreus Kril on the planet Xander, he was a pilot aboard a starship that followed Galactus. When Galactus's herald, Air-Walker, was killed, Pyreus volunteered to serve as Galactus's new herald.
Galactus transformed Pyreus, imbuing him with the Power Cosmic and granting him control over cosmic flame. As Firelord, he served Galactus, seeking out planets for his master to consume. He wields a cosmic staff as his weapon.
